2022 W.A.M. Awards: Two Wins!

I was in the studio recording vocals for my next album on the afternoon of the International W.A.M. Awards (hosted from Texas) and I knew the talent of the nominees was really steep.

The four nominees in each category were selected from thousands of entrees. Although honored to be one of the nominees in two categories, really didn’t think I would win.  In fact I was sure the composer from the Ukraine would win “Best Instrumental”.

So, when we tuned in to the broadcast of the Awards show on WNIR and heard my name announced as the Gold Winner for “Best Instrumental” for my song “The Sacred Mountains of Ojai”, I was shocked and so happy!

To add to the surprise, I also had won “Best Adult Contemporary song” for my song “Come Away With Me”.  Double Happy!

A big thank you to Bryon Harris and all the voters of the W.A.M Awards International Competition.  And I invite all my listeners to tune into the pod cast of the show.  The music in all the categories is amazing!  You can find my songs that won on the main page of the site, just scroll down to the music player.  Enjoy!

Notes From W.A.M. about the awards and how winners are selected:

“Best Song" nominations were based on Artistry, Musicianship, Originality, Professionalism, Diversity, and Excellence.  Thousands of artists entered The W.A.M. Awards this year.”
